Build Diary - 2nd July 2005

Arrived at Tiger just after 10 this morning and started to load hundreds of parts on to our luxury (not!) hire van.. The pic on the left is me & number one son struggling with the chassis! |

Our timing was perfect this morning, arriving at the same time our bodywork was being delivered. |

So, this is what a car looks like when its in bits! |

Once we had loaded up at the Parts Dept it was a short drive to the workshop to pick up the donor kit. The 4 mile drive should have taken a few minutes but Thorney is a horrible place to drive through, especially when there are roadworks! |

Engine, gearbox, front struts & hubs, pedal box all loaded and ready to head off home. (What's the bets the engine falls over on the way home even though its tied to the side of the van......) |

Its home! After an hour or so unpacking the van, filling the shed, garage & conservatory with bits its time to start the build! |

Quite pleased with myself - my first piece of ali panel work, the passenger side floor is trimmed, bonded, drilled and riveted in place. |
